Krewe of PhantAsia 2026

Year 2 of Krewe of PhantAsia parading in the Krewe Boheme parade. It was cold but vibes were good. We got a little anxious later on since it took so long to get going. It didn’t help that we were one of the last krewes (no. 32 of 39).

• The route was different this year. I assume it was because of the ongoing construction in the French Quarter.

• The route didn’t go through Frenchmen St. which was a little weird.

• A small crew from the New York Times were with us to document the experience.

• It felt like we were moving faster than last year.

• The temperature dropped to the low 40s by the time we got to the end. The wind was particularly bad.
